Curious what Real Talk is all about? You've come to the right spot! Our Calendar will keep you updated and let you know where we at in your area for groups, community advisory boards, and special events.
Check out the A-Tech and PROMISE pages to find out what we do in groups.
If you want to join one of our groups and become a Real Talker, you have to be 13-17 years old and live in the Capital District (Albany, Schenectady, Troy).
Not sure if you want to join? Talk with one of Youth Advocates or one of the adult Specialists, ask us some questions about Real Talk, and then decide. Visit our Ask Me Anything page for more info about how to do this.
Sometimes there are Contests just for Real Talk teens where you win prizes like
If you're not a Real Talker, you don't get to enter, so, yeah, think about joining up with us.
You can also be part of our Community Advisory Boards, helping our Real Talk staff to figure out how to do a better job. You don't have to be part of Real Talk, just a teen living in the Capital District who knows what's really going on in your "hood" and can keep it real.
OPEN groups--anybody can join.
CLOSED groups--only teens at that site can join.
Some of the groups shut down from June-September, so check with us if you want to know if the group is running or not.
